Yachtmaster  Preparation Course

(Non - Tidal)

 

The Yachtmaster Preparation course is a 5-day course, followed by 2 days for the exam. During the Yachtmaster Preparation course the instructor will try to polish off your existing skills, to help you pass the exam.

Required pre-course experience 50 days aboard, 5 days as skipper, 2500 miles logged, 5 passages of over 60 miles including 2 overnight and 2 as skipper.  VHF radio operators certificate and a valid First Aid Certificate
Assumed knowledge Boat handling to the standard of the Coastal Skipper Examination and navigation to the standard of the Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster shorebased course
Minimum Duration 5 days + 2 days examination
